I have been very satisfied with this software and thus recommend it to all My Media Experience readers. ![]() I am currently using PlayOn with Kodi on three different devices, an OpenELEC based HTPC, Raspberry Pi and a Windows 10 based HTPC. It uses standards called UPnP and DLNA to communicate with networked gaming consoles, TVs, mobile phones and computers working both as an internet browser to access online media and as a UPnP media server to serve videos to UPnP compliant devices. PlayOn runs in the background on your Windows-based PC over your home network. PlayOn supports 720P HD video quality when available, so your recordings will have good picture quality too. Recording time is the same as watching it in real time, so the best way is to add several movies and TV shows to the recording queue and let it to record overnight. PlayOn captures the content second per second as you would see it when streaming online. Then, you can add recorded media files to your Kodi library as you would for any other files. The benefit of this approach is that you can simply add movies and TV shows to the recording queue using PlayOn’s simple user interface. The easiest way to record movies and TV shows to your HTPC or Network Attached Storage is with Windows-based PlayOn software. When you tilt the lever into the upward position, the stopper moves into place against the drain, preventing water from leaving the tub. When you’re ready to take a bath, lift the lever to prevent water drainage. ![]() The small lever on the overflow plate will tilt downward toward the tub, which moves the stopper inside the drain and allows water to drain. To open the trip lever drain stopper and allow water to drain constantly, simply push the stopper into the lower position. While the assembly of a trip lever drain is more complex than other popular drain stoppers, the operation is simple. Instead, a strainer usually covers the drain opening, completely hiding the stopper from view. These stoppers sit further down the drain and aren’t visible from inside the tub. However, many trip lever stoppers are connected with plunger-style stoppers. The specifics surrounding each trip lever’s exact assembly hinges on the manufacturer, as some are slightly different than others. This causes the stopper to lift, draining the tub. Push the lever down when you’re ready to drain the tub (or take a shower). When you lift the lever up, the stopper is held in place, allowing you to fill your bathtub with water. To connect the two, there is a rod mechanism hidden in the wall behind the bathtub. These stoppers work via a connection between the drain stopper and a lever. Trip lever stoppers are more complex than their comrades, as the assembly is a bit more complicated. These particular stoppers are lever-operated, as the name implies. Trip lever bathtub drains are one of the six common bathtub stopper types. Here are the six bathtub drain stopper variations you might come across: Some of these stoppers are straightforward for installation and use, while others have more complex assemblies. Bathtub drain stoppers come in a few variations, each slightly different from the last. 11/29/2023 0 Comments You got to move like jagger![]() Moves Like Jagger is featured in the following playlists: Here are the captions attributed to the dance moves. That includes self-employed people operating as sole proprietors. The deduction for QBI is available for owners of S corporations, partnerships, LLCs and other "pass-through entities. There is a tax deduction that self-employed people may be able to take advantage of that you may have heard about called the qualified business income (QBI) deduction. This tax deduction is available without having to itemize. You don't qualify for the health insurance premium tax deduction, though, if you're eligible for employer-sponsored health insurance through another job (if you have one in addition to your business), or through your spouse's job.Īlso, if you continue to be self-employed after qualifying for Medicare, the premiums you pay for Medicare Part B and Part D, plus the cost of supplemental Medicare policies or the cost of a Medicare Advantage plan, can be deducted as health insurance premiums. That’s a high bar for some people who may have significant health expenses, but not enough to meet the 7.5% adjusted gross income threshold.īut there's a big exception to this for the self-employed. If you are self-employed, you can deduct what you pay for medical insurance for yourself and your family-whether you itemize or not, and without regard to the 7.5% threshold. Also, the deduction for health insurance premiums is only available to the extent that your expenses exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. That’s because you have to itemize deductions to get the health insurance premium tax break (and most taxpayers do not). You get to take advantage of this tax deduction every year you have a qualifying home office.Īlthough medical expenses are deductible, few taxpayers can deduct them. So, if you have a 300-square-foot home office (i.e., the maximum size allowed for this method), your home office deduction would be $1,500. But the IRS has a simplified method that allows taxpayers to deduct $5 for every square foot that qualifies for the home office deduction. Others might worry that claiming a deduction for their home office will trigger an audit. Many taxpayers who work from home skip the home office tax deduction. You can also write off part of your rent, or part of your mortgage, if you own your home. The key to the home office deduction is to use part of your home, or apartment, regularly and exclusively, for your moneymaking endeavor. But if you meet the requirements for a “qualifying home office,” you can deduct part of your utility bills and insurance costs, which can offset your business income. ![]() ![]() Whether you're fully self-employed, or whether you do freelance work in addition to your "regular" job, you may be able to claim a deduction for your home office. With the actual expenses method, you add up your car-related expenses for the year (e.g., gas, oil, tires, repairs, parking, tolls, insurance, registration, lease payments, depreciation, etc.), and multiply the total by the percentage of total miles driven that year for business reasons.įor example, if your total annual car-related expenses are $5,000, and twenty percent of your miles were for business, then your tax deduction for business use of your vehicle is $1,000 ($5,000 x. Just keep good records of the dates and miles you drive for work and keep in mind that driving for personal trips or errands is not considered business use of the vehicle. ![]() The IRS adjusted the standard mileage rate mid-year because of high gas prices. If you use the standard mileage rate, you can deduct 58.5¢ for every mile driven for business during the first six months of 2022, and 62.5¢ per mile for the second half of the year. You can use either the standard mileage rate, or your actual car expenses. There are two ways to calculate the business vehicle use deduction. Any self-employed person who makes deliveries, drives to a client's location, or otherwise uses a personal vehicle for work-related purposes, can claim the tax deduction for business use of a vehicle. If you drive your own car for business, there’s a business vehicle use tax deduction that isn't just for Uber or Lyft drivers. It's about 1000 over my max bitrate, but that's tolerable. MPC reports a bitrate of 16000 at one point. it does a pretty good job of somewhat obeying the max bitrate. If I set the VBR to 10,000 and the max bitrate to 15,000. ![]() I actually do not understand what's going on here. Why does "max-bitrate" seem to *influence* rather than *dictate*? If I set a VBR of 15000 and a max bitrate of 17500, then during the noisy part, the bitrate spikes up to 20,000. and is only somewhat obeyed when using VBR. It seems like, Max-bitrate is completely ignored when using CQP. I can't have this because 48,000 bitrate spikes cause the video to desync and have framerate fluctuations. I just tested a Constant Quantizer value of 28, and the bitrate spikes up to 48,000 during the noisy part. It seems like max-bitrate is working sometimes, and sometimes not at all (for Staxrip Command Line - Nvidia h.265) The resulting file never exceeded 17500 bitrate according to the MPC statistics If this is the reason, then it could be applying a huge bitrate to the noisy part of the video and that would be the reason why the playback performance is poor. Will try contacting the software author about this. So, I'm just going to assume that "maximum bitrate" for NVENC in xmedia recode is broken. ![]() I did not include a constant bitrate version in the zip file for comparison. When I use a constant bitrate mode, the playback is flawless, but the video looks like absolute crud. You will see that, the x265 video plays flawlessly, whereas the NVENC video has playback problems during the noisy part.Įdit: It looks to me like Xmedia Recode is ignoring the "maximum bitrate" value for NVENC. ![]() I encoded these using similar settings in Xmedia Recode. I've included an x265 video, an NVENC video, and an original video for comparison. I have a quad core i7 8700K CPU, 64GB DDR4 RAM, GTX Titan X GPU. I'm using Media Player Classic Home Cinema with internal HEVC decoder (H/W decoding support) with Lav and FFDShow Filters (default settings) on Windows 10. It would be nice to be able to compress 60fps gameplay footage quickly using NVENC without the obvious framerate issues that occur. I'm wondering if anybody here has had a chance to test NVENC with 60fps footage, especially extremely noisy footage?ĭoes anybody have any theories as to why NVENC produces a choppy, unstable, inconsistent playback framerate for 60fps footage, compared to x265?ĭoes anybody have any suggestions that would help with NVENC and creating a consistent framerate during playback during these highly noisy scenes? I tried some of the preset settings for NVENC, including "Low Latency, High Performance", but was unable to get the extremely perfect result that x265 gave me (in terms of stable framerate during playback).įor x265, I chose 10,000 bitrate, with the "FastDecode" tuning preset at Medium complexity. For whatever reason, the framerate is still erratic during this 0.5s noisy part and I just can't seem to understand why. Results were better, but still unimpressive. So, I lowered the max bitrate to 16000 in an attempt to stabilize the framerate during playback. As it turns out, when this noisy 0.5s scene occurs, it uses this opportunity to apply a huge bitrate, as evidenced by the fact that the NVENC video is much higher quality compared to the x265 one (only during this noisy scene). NVENC allows you to specify a "maximum bitrate", and I would typically set that to 50,000 (no reason in particular, it didn't seem to influence the resulting filesize, so I kept that value). I have a theory as to why this is happening. After watching the resulting MKV file, I noticed the framerate was behaving erratically, especially when a very noisy scene would occur, such as when a player kills you, and your screen shows a 0.5 second noise overlay effect to indicate that you have died.Īfter a lot of experimentation back and forth between NVENC and x265, I determined that x265 produces a much smoother playing video, but doesn't produce as high quality of a result compared to the NVENC video during the noisy part. I started off converting using NVENC because it converts at a very fast rate compared to x265 (no surprise there). I'm mostly here to report my very unprofessional findings and ask a couple questions. I've been recording some gameplay footage of Battlefield 4 using Nvidia Geforce Experience at 50,000 bitrate, then using Xmedia Recode to convert to 10,000 bitrate (for storage purposes). 11/29/2023 0 Comments Region 10 illinois covid![]() When announcing a stay-at-home advisory that starts Monday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot warned businesses will face fines and potentially be shut down if they don’t follow social distancing rules or properly manage crowds.Ĭhicago’s Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection plans to proactively investigate retail stores to ensure compliance with capacity limits and other COVID-19 regulations, which carry fines up to $10,000 for violations, spokesman Isaac Reichman said.
